The Sound Dog is owned and run by myself, Chris. I strive to give a friendly and personal service to both you and your pet. Work, life and pet ownership can be a juggling act at times – I’m here to be your helping hand.

I am fully insured, a registered dog walker with the City of Edinburgh Council, have a Disclosure Scotland certificate and I am a certified dog-walking and pet home-sitting professional. I have basic first aid training. I’m a happy, positive and helpful chap and would love to be your go to guy for all your pet-servicing needs.
Why Did I start The Sound Dog
All animals are sound – I’ve always adored them. I didn’t have much choice about it. My father was animal daft and I grew up surrounded by a multitude of dogs, cats, lizards and birds. There was never a dull moment.
This upbringing gave me a great love and empathy with all creatures. In particular, it gave me an expertise in dogs. I have great experience in a variety of dog behaviour and can help with basic training.
After many years of managing people for a living I decided that managing animals would be far more rewarding. So I established The Sound Dog. And it certainly is more rewarding – I love every minute of it!
The Sound Dog Mobile
I have converted a Fiat Doblo MPV into the Sound Dogmobile. It has three sizes of secure cages with hygienic padded bedding. For your dogs comfort it has tinted windows all around, window shades and is air-conditioned. It’s a clean, quiet, comfortable and stylish way for your dog to travel.
