Why Did I start The Sound Dog
All animals are sound – I’ve always adored them. I didn’t have much choice in the matter! My father was animal-daft, and I grew up surrounded by a lively mix of dogs, cats, lizards, and birds. There was never a dull moment in our home.
That upbringing gave me a deep empathy for animals and a strong understanding of their needs. Over time, I developed a particular expertise in dogs – their behaviour, communication, and training. I’ve gained hands-on experience in basic dog training and enjoy helping dogs and their owners build strong, healthy relationships.
After many years of working in people management, I realised that caring for animals was far more fulfilling. That’s when I founded The Sound Dog in 2016 – combining my lifelong passion for animals with a professional, reliable pet care service.
Now, I provide trusted dog walking and pet sitting services in Edinburgh, offering a friendly, personal approach that gives both pets and their people peace of mind. And the best part? I love every minute of it.
The Sound Dogmobile
I’ve converted a Fiat Doblo MPV into The Sound Dogmobile — a clean, quiet, comfortable, and stylish way for your dog to travel.
It features three sizes of secure cages with hygienic, padded bedding to suit dogs of all shapes and sizes. For added comfort, the vehicle is fully air-conditioned, fitted with tinted windows and window shades to keep the interior cool and calming.
Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities.
